Our Manchester-area slip testing service covers every premises type in Northern Quarter — from schools and hospitals through to warehouses, retail, hotels, restaurants, offices, care homes, factories, gyms, places of worship and beyond. Every survey is delivered under our UKAS ISO 17025 accreditation (Lab No. 7933), with traceably calibrated equipment and reports written to stand up to RIDDOR, court and regulatory scrutiny.

• BS 7976-2 pendulum slip testing in both dry and wet conditions, with the appropriate slider for the surface type and end-use (Slider 96 for shod environments, Slider 55 for barefoot wet areas like swimming pools and showers).
• Surface roughness (Rz) measurement on smooth clinical, retail or office flooring — essential where pendulum readings alone could mislead.
• Photographic and locational evidence at every test point, plan-marked for the final report.
• UKAS-endorsed report within five working days, including pass/fail commentary against HSE/UKSRG slip risk classifications.
• Independent corrective recommendations — we don't sell flooring or treatments, so our advice is impartial.

Our reports are written to align with the relevant standards and guidance for the building type — NHS HBNs for hospitals, DfE BB103 / BB104 for schools, PWTAG and HSG179 for swimming pools, Network Rail standards for stations, the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 for general workplaces, and CQC Regulation 15 for healthcare and care settings.
