Manchester Slip Testing — operated by Surface Performance Ltd under UKAS ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, Lab Schedule No. 7933 — provides BS 7976-2 pendulum slip resistance testing to local authority leisure pools, school pools, hotel pools and private estates across Manchester, Salford, Stockport, Trafford, Bury, Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Wigan and the wider Greater Manchester region.

The pendulum test, carried out in accordance with BS 7976-2:2002+A1:2013, is the preferred pedestrian slip test method recommended by the Health and Safety Executive and the UK Slip Resistance Group. It is the only slip test evidence accepted by UK courts in civil slip injury claims.

Every swimming pool environment has its own slip risk profile. Our typical survey scope covers poolside surrounds, changing-village wet zones, plant room access and showers.

Reports are written to align with the regulatory framework that applies to swimming pools — including HSE pool guidance HSG179, PWTAG Code of Practice and BS 7976-2.
